This single storey project had challenges from the get-go. 2.0m fall from the rear yard to the front fence, Melbourne Water Flood Level Overlay and North Facing adjoining habitable room windows provided a true design challenge. The client had a clear picture of their dream Hamptons Style Design. Once we got started, the client was well prepared with a scrapbook of reference images and finishes for the interior and exterior of the home. Through the design process we were able to achieve a well thought out layout that was functional and practical for their growing family and sympathetic to the site constraints. The result will be an admirable contribution to an area today and future developments.
